The District of Squamish is exploring approaches to support Squamish residents, businesses, non-profit and community groups to:

  • temporarily access items (ex. equipment, vehicles, space, human resources, waste or other outputs, resources) through borrowing/co-ownership instead of having to own something outright
  • generate revenue or other benefits from sharing idle items or materials no longer needed.

In some circles this practice is called asset sharing or the sharing economy. Please note: for the purposes of this project we are not including short-term homes/rental units as sharable items.

The purpose of this survey is to:
1. Understand the items you would like to have access to
2. Understand the items you would consider sharing
3. Understand the value to you of sharing program characteristics

Participation is not mandatory and you can skip a question at any point in the survey. Responses will be used to identify ways the District could potentially support more sharing opportunities for businesses and organisations in Squamish.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
